What Is Samsung Going To Be Making in 2021

What Is Samsung Going To Be Making in 2021

With the recent news that Apple will be releasing the iPhone 8 in September, it has been a hot topic of discussion (pun intended). This release is so big that they even decided to skip over the traditional iPhone 7s and replace it with an 8. The new phone will have many different features including facial recognition and wireless charging capability. But this article isn't about Apple, it is about Samsung and their plans for the near future. They have announced a few items that they plan on releasing by 2021. This includes a foldable television, solar-powered batteries, and VR headsets.

1. Samsung will release foldable televisions

Samsung will release foldable televisions this year, and they’ll be available in a variety of sizes. Samsung has begun mass producing the panels for its foldable televisions, and it’s expected to release them in the second half of the year. These foldables will be larger than the average TV, but they'll have a big enough display for watching content. Samsung isn’t bringing patient Moore’s Law with them. With its 60Hz refresh rate, Samsung’s foldable television will feel as smooth as your television when it comes to the content. In my opinion, the new Samsung foldable has the potential to be some of the best televisions to ever hit the market.
The biggest advantage of these foldables is wireless charging capability. Yes, electric scooters exist now, but they are a luxury good. Wireless chargers are becoming more and more common, and they can charge multiple devices at the same time. It can even be used to charge a larger screen TV. Samsung said that its foldable TV will allow users to place two devices on top of each other, so that a user can watch multiple content displays at once. Essentially, they will just be bigger iPads without monitors.
One notable addition to this TV lineup is the inclusion of low-power solar panels. These panels will be able to power a TV, or several smaller devices at a time. This will allow users to spend less on electricity, which is an added bonus so that everyone has an equal opportunity to have access to technology.
Last year, Samsung released a set of Galaxy Buds. These headphones were more targeted toward fitness than audio. The headset connected through Bluetooth LE, which meant users had to manually switch between worlds every time they wanted to listen to a podcast. With the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung is planning on moving these headphones into the audio realm.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is expected to have mid to high-fidelity audio. It will support 7.

2. Samsung will create solar-powered batteries

In an effort to reduce their dependency on non-renewable energy resources and introduce more renewable energy sources, Samsung has announced that it will be working with Sungrow Power Supply to create a solar-powered battery that will be used to store energy from solar panels. This type of battery is known as a Batteries and will be able to recharged through the sun.
Samsung states that this battery will be able to store around 300 charge cycles which is a big deal because this will be able to give users the option to buy a new battery fairly easily because they will be able to purchase a new battery at a cheaper price. It is also worth mentioning that the batteries can be recharged through the sun so this is a clever move.
The other interesting thing that Samsung is working on this year is a foldable TV. This new foldable television will be able to fold in manner similar to the Galaxy Fold which made its debut in 2016. This new TV will be called the Samsung Z Fold2. This new TV will allow users to watch content while on the go which is definitely a useful feature for travel.
Along with these two announcements, Samsung has announced that they will be releasing two new series of products this year, one of which will be a foldable phone. This phone will be called the Samsung Z Fold2 Lite and will retail at $199.99. This phone will use solar energy and Bluetooth to charge making it completely wireless. When we talk about wireless charging it is very important to understand that the wireless charger just helps increase the efficiency of your current wireless charger. This functionality will be added onto the Samsung Z Fold2 and Samsung Z Flip that already have a wireless charger.

3. Samsung will release VR headsets

Samsung announced that it will release a virtual reality headset in 2016. The headset is intended to be used with Samsung smartphones. The headset will allow users to play games and watch movies in virtual reality. By having a virtual reality headset integrated with one of their device, it can help draw more people to the Galaxy device lineup as well as help Samsung in marketing all of the different smartphone features that they currently have. The Gear VR is already another example of how a phone can serve as a base to build a better VR headset later.
Samsung is also planning on releasing a foldable television by the end of the year. The flexible screen will have a 3:2 aspect ratio and will have full 360-degree hinge capabilities. This allows for watching content on the big screen while leaning forwards or backwards and allowing for a more comfortable watching experience.
This brings up the big question of why do all of these large releases matter if they don’t inspire consumers enough to purchase that device? There have been games, tech demos, and concept phones out that have done a nice job at putting into perspective what a notably different design like this would be like. I would argue that it was this same concept that helped develop the concept of the Galaxy Fold and how the device was received by critics and the general public. Now that we are years later and Samsung released the Z Fold and Z Flip that have become much more popular than the Z Fold 3, perhaps we are all able to appreciate and appreciate what Samsung has been trying to do with its smaller phones.
Now that Samsung has released a few concept phones, it should be clear that they are not innovating the market. They are merely trying to result in the best user experience possible and how consumers would respond after years of having the same design handed down to them.
